Hope you have installed SQL and prerequisite and ready for running SCCM 2012 SP2 installation.
Open command prompt as Administrator
Open command prompt as Administrator
Navigate your path to SCCM2012 Sp2 suite .
Run Splash.hta
Click Install
Select the setup that you want to run, since we are going to create a primary site
Select Install a configuration Manager Primary site
Select Evaluation version
Accept the license and click Next
Select the software that configuration manager want to download, so that it will useful while installing secondary site and clients etc.
Select the path of prerequisite files if you already downloaded; Else select to download, so that the setup will download the required software automatically.
Select the Language
Specify Site code, Site name, Installation path and click Next
Select the option that you want to install, whether you want to join the primary site to the existing hierarchy or you want to install as a standalone primary.
Here I am going with Install Stand-alone Primary
Select yes, so that you can expand this site into your hierarchy in future.
Specify the server name, where we are planning to install SMS Provider. SMS provider can be installed in the site server or in database server that holding site database.
Click Next
Check the option, Configure the communication method on each site system role
Select the Role that you want to install. Both this roles can be even installed after installing successful setup. So, even unselecting or selecting the option may not create any problem.
Click Next
Depends on your convenience, Select the option whether to join Customer experience program or not.
Click Next
Double check the data once that you provided during this installation setup previously.
Select Next
Once installation over, select next and close the wizard. Thanks!
We have successfully installed SCCM 2012 Sp2suite. Now search for the Configuration Manager console in the site server. Just try to open and double check the connectivity to console. If your installation and site server communications looks good, then you should be able to open the console successfully.
