Failed to get DP locations

Once CM12 client installation triggered the respective installation binaries will identify the site version, Management point and respective boundaries of the machine located.

If any problem in identifying site version and communication to MP, we may see errors like below.

Solutions

It is always recommended to perform the connectivity check between MP and client machines

1. Check that the correct Site code and details are being installed.

2. If Site code is correct try reaching the MP from a browser window:

http://<MP Server FQDN>/sms_mp/.sms_aut?mplist

3. Telnet to port 80.

 If communication is not possible double check firewall rules.

 If communication is possible, try installing using the fallback MP for that site.
